Candidate Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Typing speed of at least 65 WPM
- Availability to commit to 20+ physical hours per week
- At least 2 years of transcription experience (legal, medical, or general)
- Ability to ensure all transcripts meet or surpass 98% accuracy with strong attention to detail and research capabilities, as well as exceptional listening skills for verbatim transcription
- Exceptional written communication skills, including proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- Working knowledge of legal formatting requirements such as Bluebook or any style guide such as GPO, GAO, Chicago, Associated Press, etc.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation
