Oculus Game Studios, under Meta, is currently in search of an accomplished Gameplay Programmer to contribute to an unannounced VR game using the Unreal Engine. This role involves collaboration with a team of experienced engineers and requires expertise in various aspects of game development, with a primary focus on gameplay-related functionality.
Senior Gameplay Programmer – Twisted Pixel Games Responsibilities:
- Gameplay Implementation: Execute tasks related to gameplay, ensuring functionality aligns with project requirements.
- Research and Development: Conduct research to acquire new knowledge essential for assigned tasks, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Technical Feature Design: Design and develop technical features specific to the game, contributing to the core technology framework.
- Collaborative Development: Work closely with game designers, producers, engineers, and artists to ensure the highest quality product.
- Quality and Efficiency: Demonstrate a commitment to task quality, efficiency, robustness, expansibility, and fun factor.
- Timely Task Completion: Put in the necessary effort and time to complete tasks promptly, ensuring they meet required standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional game programming experience or equivalent.
- Proven communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
- At least one proven shipped AAA console and/or VR title and/or equivalent.
- Proven C/C++ programming skills, and experience implementing complex systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with Unreal Engine (UE4).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with C# for tools development.
- Experience with low-level APIs.
- Experience with low-level performance optimizations.
- Experience developing a multiplayer networked game.
- Experience working with a small team of programmers.
- Proven proactive approach in making things happen.
