The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has an exciting job opportunity for a Research Data Analyst II. This role offers a monthly salary range from $5,793.00 to $7,472.00.
Job Description:
Under the direction and general supervision of the Office Chief, a Senior Transportation Planner, the Research Data Analyst II will work at full journey-level capacity. The responsibilities include performing various tasks, such as independent and complex technical and statistical research, database creation, spatial analysis, mapping products, and modeling support. This position will have lead responsibility for a significant project or activity in a multidisciplinary team, covering research, data collection, presentation, and analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Work Experience: Four years of experience in data analysis, research, or a related field.
Special Requirements:
- A Statement of Qualification (SOQ) is required. It should be a discussion of how an applicant’s education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria in the duty statement and qualify the applicant for the position.
Working Conditions:
This position is located in Stockton, San Joaquin County, and will primarily involve work in a climate-controlled office. Telecommuting is also subject to approval. Travel for special assignments, meetings, or route reviews may be required.
