Job Title: Software Developer – Numerical Algorithms

Burlington, MA – COMSOL, Inc. is on the lookout for software developers to join its team in Burlington, Massachusetts, and contribute to the growth of its numerical analysis group. The role primarily involves the development of essential numerical methods in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and its supplementary products. This includes creating techniques for solving partial and ordinary differential equations, as well as optimization methods. The tasks encompass a range of activities, from analysis and specification to C++/Java implementation, testing, and documentation.
Requirements for Applicants:
- A Ph.D. in Numerical Analysis.
- Proficiency in programming.
- Additional skills and experiences that are meriting include:
- Involvement in larger software projects.
- Competence in large-scale computing with OpenMP or MPI.
- Proficiency in profiling and code optimization.
- Design of user interfaces.
- Design of interfaces to numerical libraries.
- Knowledge in scientific machine learning.
- Familiarity with model order reduction.
